Paper Pieced Vogue Vase Video

Hello! I have a clean and simple card to share with you today. I used images from Vogue Vases 2, from Gina K Designs, and paper pieced the vase. I grounded the image with a bit of sponging and shading, and added shading to the paper pieced vase.

Here is a video and if you prefer to watch on Youtube, just click here.

Start by stamping the vase image, from Vogue Vases 2, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto pattern paper.

Use Copic marker N3 to add some shading.

Blend out from the previous color using N1, then use a blender pen to soften the edges of the coloring.

Add Y21 over the grey and use the blender pen again to soften the edges. After coloring, cut out the vase.

Trim white cardstock to 2 3/4" by 4 1/2". Use a sticky note to mask the top and sponge lightly using Gina K Bubblegum ink.

Remove the mask and stamp the flower image using Memento Tuxedo Black.

Color in the centers using Y17, then use RV17 at the base of each petal.

 Fill in with RV13.

Use YG05 for the leaves and stems.

Adhere the vase over the bottom of the stem.

Use BV000 to color in a shadow beneath the vase and the blender pen to soften the edges of the shading.

Add decorative score lines to frame the image. Use the first two groves on the Scor-Buddy and score on each side.

Wrap pink ribbon around the front of a white card base and secure at the front. Stamp the sentiment on the white layer. Layer with a piece of black cardstock and adhere both pieces to the card base using adhesive foam squares.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Theresa, I enjoyed your video, as usual! I have a quick ? for you. Was that the Xyron tape runner I saw you using? If so, how do you like it? I have been considering buying it but have read mixed reviews. Right now I have a Glue Glider Pro. Will you please respond to me at Stamp TV or my Google e-mail. I'm not very good at navigating blogs etc. Thank you, Pam Thornton
